Setup
Get your free Gemini key
Three steps, about a minute. Needed only for the 5 AI tools — 11 tools work with no key at all.
Open Google AI Studio
Sign in with any Google account. There is no billing setup and no card required.
Create an API key
Click “Create API key”, pick any project when prompted, then copy the value it shows you.
Paste it into Settings
Save it, then press “Test connection” to confirm which model your key can use before you spend a request.
Check the key starts with “AIza”
AI Studio can also hand out an OAuth token beginning AQ. — that is a different kind of credential and the Gemini API will refuse it. If you get one, go back and use Create API key instead.

Where your key lives
In your browser's local storage on this device only. Requests go through this app's own server route to Google, so the key is never put in a URL, and it is never shared with anyone you send this site to. Remove it any time from Settings.
Requests prefer gemini-flash-latest, falling back to whichever model your key grants.
